Q: Lost the keys to 2005 Infiniti FX35 Truck??
Yesterday somehow, I misplaced the original keys to my 2005 Infiniti truck. I tore the house down looking for those keys.. Luckily I have my valet key but Im scared to use it because the valet key does not have an alarm attached to it like the original keys do. My question is this, if I use the Valet Key, will it make my alarm go off? I do have another car luckily..
A: Pretty sure the valet key won't set off the alarm. It would be pretty pointless to have a valet key if when you left you car with a valet the alarm kept going off. Drive the car to the dealer, have them make some keys. Of course you can probably give them the number off the valet key or your VIN in order to get new keys ordered right away.
Q: infiniti fx35 year 2005?
i have infiniti fx35 2005 and i'm trying to connect ipod to it... does anybody know how?? (i have tried cassette adapter, fm transformer) sound is not that good with them..
A: The methods you've tried are the easiest and the cheapest. The '05 models don't have any kind of usb or 1/8" headphone jack. Check with a reputable aftermarket audio store and they may be able to install a jack so you can plug the ipod in from the headphone jack to a 1/8" jack they would install. Also, there are new gizmo's coming out all the time, that's why I'd check with a high-tech audio store. Hope this helps!
Q: Should I buy a 2005 infiniti FX35 with 30K miles for 29K?
A: Yes, that's a great deal! The FX35 is actually more popular and has a better resale value than the more powerful/expensive FX45. People LOVE the VQ35 engines and for good reason. How many awards has the Nissan VQ won again. Definitely get this vehicle and good taste in cars.
I chose the M35 Sport over the M45 Sport. The VQ35 is simply amazing, and if you're into tuning, it has more aftermarket support because it takes very little effort to modify G35/350Z parts to fit the FX35/M35.
Q: What suv to buy? Infiniti or bmw?
i wanted to buy a car, i was thinking of one of these, BMW X3( 2005), or infiniti fx35(05). Which one do you think i should buy iam looking for overall features thx.
A: I don't know about the infiniti fx35, but I just purchased a BMW X3.0i (2005) about a month ago. Saved big bucks over buying new. It is alot of fun to drive. It has a very sporty feel with a powerful V6 engine. The visibility is not bad either. With the newer styled sloped rear windows, I thought that I would never find a car that I would be comfortable driving with good visibility. This one is not too bad though. I absolutly LOVE the huge moonroof. Mine has heated seats and even has a heated steering wheel, Im looking forward to useing this winter.I have read that the AWD works great on snow. I am in the process of looking for a compatible cell phone to use with the cars built in bluetooth. I would highly recommend test driving the BMW X3
Q: In a bind.. please help!?
To make a long story short, I let my sister borrow a car of mine. She's had it now for about 2 months, since her car is down. This month she only paid me half of the money and now Im having difficulty in reaching her as if she is avoiding me. I know where she lives and want to get my car back. The problem is this, I only have a valet key left....Can I get into the 2005 infiniti FX35 without making the alarm go off with just a valet key? Or should I just order a whole new set of keys with the alarm fob attached and then take the car back? How long does it take to get a new set of keys made anyway? Thanks for your help..
A: The valet key will probably cause the alarm to sound within a few miles. It may also prevent you from restarting the engine once it's shut off.
You can get another key at the dealership, but they need to have the car to program it to the car's computer so that it will work. Until the key is linked to the car's computer, it won't work at all. Be prepared to pay anywhere from $100.00 to $300.00 for the key. Infinitis tend to run to the high end of that range. If you do use the valet key, drive straight to the nearest dealership. Alternatively, see if the dealership can dispatch a service vehicle and make the key and link it up while you wait.
Just go to her home and get your car back! If she refuses to surrender the keys, call the police. More than likely she'll surrender the keys as soon as you do that and certainly when the cops show up. Yeah, this will cause some friction between you two, but she's the instigator, not you!
Q: How do I payoff my Infiniti lease?
I am looking to buy a new vehicle. My current buyout price on my 2005 Infinti FX35 is $26k. Can I sell this car on my own for $26k (plus Illinois State sales tax) to someone else and essentially be done with my lease? How is this different than me buying the vehicle at the end of the lease term? Are there any unique terms and conditions that go along with buying it out early?
Maybe I figured it out..... I can pay the buyout price right now for my vehichle and it is mine free and clear.... OR, I can pay the early termination charges and just turn the car in. Does this sound right? If I buy the car (really, it would be the dealership where I am buying the new car from since I am rolling the negative balance into my new car), do I have to pay sales tax AGAIN????
A: I assume you got your current buyout price from the lease company recently, and it's not the lease-end buyout price in your lease contract.
The way that lease companies calculate buyout prices is different ("actuarial method") than the way your payments were calculated at the beginning of your lease. Their method credits more your payments to finance charges and less to the actual payoff of the lease balance. In other words, the buyout price is usually much more than the car is worth, and more than anyone might want to pay for it -- unless you had made a large down payment at the start of your lease.
Depending on how close you are to the end of your lease, the lease-end buyout price might be a better deal. But you'll only know by looking at the numbers in detail.
Some lease companies allow "third party buyouts" which allows your buyer to buy directly from the lease company without you having to buy first. This avoids you having to pay sales tax, and then the buyer having to pay sales tax again.
